Appointment of Notification Committee

Assuming that everything is in order - and, with proper
preparation, there is no reason that it would not be - the Council
will vote to proceed with the Church.
In that happy circumstance, the Moderator will appoint a
committee of one or two members of the Council to bring the
candidate, members of the inviting Church, and guests back into
the room. This committee is usually composed of individuals who
are personally close to the candidate. If the result is less than
salutary, the Moderator may wish to appoint some
very senior
members who can help to lay the groundwork for what must be a
disappointment.
