THE CONGREGATIONAL FOUNDATION
FOR THEOLOGICAL STUDIES

Financial Support
Grants and Scholarships.
As a general principle, financing a seminary education is seen as the responsibility of the student. CFTS is one source of financial assistance and counsel.
Fellowship Awards.
Any person who accepts an invitation to become a CFTS student, agreeing to meet its educational requirements, is accorded “fellowship” status. Every student admitted to the program receives a fellowship grant of $1000.00 per year for up to three years, regardless of need and regardless of full time or part time enrollment status.
Scholarships.
CFTS administers a number of scholarships on behalf of churches and individuals. All CFTS students are eligible to apply for these scholarships. They are awarded at the discretion of the board of directors in consultation with the Dean. The amount available as scholarships varies depending upon yearly donations and market performance. Criteria for these awards will first and always honor the intent of the donor.
Grants.
Currently, CFTS offers grant awards to students based on financial need. These grants are available to students who believe they will be able to fulfill their intention to minister in an NACCC member church, or board approved ministry, upon graduation from seminary.
