Mission Mazahua
Mexico

Mission Mazahua is located approximately 60 miles northwest of Mexico City, in the central highlands of Mexico. The Hacienda of Tepetitlan is the home of Mission Mazahua. It is located at the hub of the region occupied by the Mazahua Indians.

Mission Mazahua, as part of its mission ministry, supports the following programs: Pastoral Ministries Community Transformation Talitha Cumi (Continuing Education) Basic Shelter Children's Recreation Center Christian Camp & Retreat Center

Many opportunities exist at the mission for MAC volunteers. Currently, two to three MAC trips per year are organized for travel to Mission Mazahua. Participants (youth and adults) come from across the United States and meet at the mission site. These joint mission projects provide volunteers not only with a rewarding mission ministry experience, but also a time of fellowship with the Mazahuan people and Congregationalists from other areas of the United States.

The central emphasis at Mission Mazahua is upon a strategy known as "wholistic transformation." The goal of the mission is to address the needs of the whole person by seeking to touch the social, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of a person's life. All of this is done in the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.
