Fund Raising Ideas for Lent and Easter
Is your Youth Group looking for some simple ideas for Fund Raisers (and activities) that can be held during Lent or Easter? Why not try one of these meals?

Souper Luncheon
First Church of Christ, Congregational, Lynn, MA has a "Souper Luncheon" following church. They have about 8 different soups in crock pots. People enjoy being able to choose from a variety of soups. The soups were kept hot in crock pots and served with bread, desserts and drinks. The tickets were for all you can eat.

Chili Café
A variation of this is a Chili Café featuring chili, cookies and cornbread. Either of these could be preceded by a lock-in where all of the food is prepared.

Soup and Sandwich Luncheon
Another variation would be to add simple sandwiches and a few less soup choices. Arbor Grove Congregational in Jackson, MI also adds some simple entertainment from the members of the church.

Pancake Breakfast
First Church of Christ, Congregational in Lynn also does a Pancake breakfast on Easter morning from 8:00 am to about 10:15. Tickets are sold in advance, but pancakes are made to order as people arrive. The menu consists of pancakes, sausage, orange juice, coffee, tea, etc. Special "bunny pancakes" are made by the cooks for the children. Donations of food items helps hold the cost down. There are adult, children and family tickets.
