GREAT IDEAS AND CONGRATULATIONS
Spencer (FCC) is running a leadership video series entitled, "Caring
For God's People: A Pastoral Care Training Video." Not just for
Diaconate, but all leaders.
Duluth (DCC) has a quarterly congregational meetings
after worship, with set and open agendas.
Clear Lake (FCC) Jan Lovell, a member of the Church, has
been appointed to serve on Iowa's Natural Heritage Foundation, a
non-profit conservation group working to protect Iowa's land, water, and wildlife.
Kenosha (FCC) has developed a
page of goals and objectives for the new year. They might be of interest to
your congregation.
Several Churches (among them Franklin, WI, Faith Comm.)
have constructed or changed their bylaws from the traditional standing
committees and boards to ministry teams. They tend to be more task
oriented, actually targeting more gifted laity in the process of tasks, and have a
high sense of accomplishment.
Lansing (Plymouth Church) is
offering seven brief lessons on Congregationalism.
Write, call, or email the Churches mentioned above, for
more info.
An NA clergy person suggests
that every NA Church should have a "window of information" in every
issue of the newsletter. Not only Church name, address, telephone number,
but fax, and email address. Make it easy for members, friends, and
potential members to contact your Church!
