GREAT IDEAS!
Sharon Soubly and Gloria Roberts, Chrs. of the Mission
Committee of Comm. Congl, Lathrup Village, MI wrote
a wonderful article in their December newsletter describing a list
of opportunities for mission work during the holiday season.
They ended it with, "Please do not be overwhelmed by our wish
list. (We don't) expect everyone to be involved with
everything we have planned. Pace yourself, folks.
There's lots more on the horizon!"
A thoughtful message...How's this for a bulletin "Welcome?"
"This is a faith-full community of people who, on good days,
recklessly love people and live out kingdom values. We are
about equipping each other on an ancient mission in this
contemporary world." Plymouth Church, Minneapolis, MN,
has a visiting scholar series, "The Visiting Scholar program was
developed by the Board of Deacons' Adult Education Committee. The intent
is, through study and reflection, to discover new ways of being God's faithful
people in the new millennium. IN OUR THOUGHTS AND
