Sister churches in the Cong’l Fed. in England have embraced new migrant churches which are growing faster than traditional ones in the country…A box outside the Maidstone Church (Cong’l) in England allows people of the local community to leave prayer requests…Plymouth Church, Minneapolis, has an “inclusion ministry” team whose mission is to eliminate barriers to participation in Church activities for people who are differently-disabled…FCC, Mansfield’s youth had a cookie walk during the holidays to raise money to help them attend the NAPF meeting in Kansas City in June…FCC, Royal Oak, has started a poets society called “Voices”. Adults are bringing in their favorite poetry and reading and discussing it…. Mt Hope, Livonia, sent out their recent newsletter with an insert entitled “Stewardship,” published by Parish in New Canaan, CT. Check it out on the website – parishpublishing.org…FCC, Allegan, has a freezer (in the furnace room) full of casseroles, for anyone who wants to pick one up during the holidays. The suggested price is marked and all you have to do is pay “Leah” in the Church office. How’s that for hospitality and a creative fund-raiser?...FCC, Rockwood, has had a series of wonderful dinners and programs recently. One featured an after-dinner concert by Rev. Cynthia Bacon, soprano and pastor of Heritage Church in Madison….FCC, Akron, had an awesome color newsletter cover for Christmas! They recognize an “artist of the month,” this month’s being photographer Lisel Shoffner….Cong’l Church, Preston, is honoring their Church School teachers and Board of Religious Education. No small thing since they have a large team and over 150 in their Church School!…Winthrop, Holbrook, has just started a regular prayer chain in the Church…Souhegan Cong’l, have divided their membership up alphabetically for prayer concerns, giving each elder a group for whom they are responsible...Glenolden Cong’l had this quote in their recent newsletter: “If I had not gone to Church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!”…FCC, Adams, they are recruiting adults to read the entire New Testament and Psalms together over the New Year.
