CHALLENGES IN OUR CHURCHES
In the last couple years two of our Churches have reported embezzlement and theft of funds from the Church. Auditors and insurance companies have recommended that offerings from worship, Church fair receipts (really any cash of fund-raising activities within the Church), should be counted on premises by two unrelated people, and deposits made off-site immediately. Contact Marina Rosenberg at (800) 262-1620 or mroseberg@naccc.org. It is not a matter of trust; it is a matter of good stewardship and liability.

COME TO PROVIDENCE -
SPECIAL FELLOWSHIP GRANTS TO BE OFFERED

Our Moderator for our Annual Meeting in Providence, Don Bentley, is arranging for fellowship grants to enable some of our Congregational Family (Churches) who have not been able to afford the cost of being with us at the Annual Meeting, to join us in Providence. And the beauty of this option is that we can all participate! Churches and/or individuals who would like to help sponsor a church are invited to send their financial gift, marked "Providence Fellowship Grant" to our Controller, Marina Rosenberg, at the NA Office as soon as possible. In this way we can make it possible for some of our smaller churches to celebrate with us in Providence. Any gift you care to offer will be most gratefully received and every dollar will go to the sponsorship of one of our smaller churches.

To our churches who have not been able to afford to send a delegate in the past, here is your opportunity to be represented in 2004 in Providence. We anticipate assisting with the fee for registration (about $150), hotel room charge ($250 per person, shared room for four nights), and transportation. We ask that the meal costs be covered by the applying church. In the past, some attendees have not registered for the meals offered at the hotel, but have preferred to take their meals at nearby eateries. This is an option available to all. If you would like to be represented in Providence, please send your church name and address, name of the person you would send as its delegate, and what portion of the charges you and your church would be able to cover to Carrie Dahm, NA Office, or contact her at cdahm@naccc.org as soon as possible. We will advise you of what assistance is available. All requests will be completely confidential.

Please accept our twofold invitation: Churches/individuals, share the joy of our Congregational fellowship by sponsoring another church, and smaller churches, consider applying for a Providence Fellowship Grant. Your presence will make our Congregational Family complete.
