INVESTMENT TRUST |
|
With the investment landscape
increasingly marred by scandal and self-serving behavior, you might
be wondering where to turn, what to do and whom to trust. As members
of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches,
let us remind you of an excellent |
|
investment vehicle available only to you—the member church.
This vehicle, The Congregational Investment Trust, is designed to
help you navigate uncertain terrain while avoiding the many
potholes appearing in today’s investment headlines. Did you
know…
-
The Congregational Investment Trust is a broadly diversified investment
portfolio giving you, the member church, instant access to a balanced
investment portfolio managed by independent investment professionals.
-
This professional management provides continuity and relieves
participating churches of the increasing amount of time it takes to monitor
and maintain an investment portfolio.
-
Professional management also alleviates any tension and discomfort that
may arise from various church member investment activities and/or
recommendations—especially those that conflict with the overall investment
goals of the member church.
-
Given the majority of assets within the Congregational Investment Trust
are invested in individual common stocks and bonds, the woes confronting
today’s mutual fund investors are largely avoided.
-
The overall expense ratio for the investment management of the
Congregational Investment Trust is about 0.48%, up to two-thirds less than the
fees associated with many mutual funds.
-
Member church investment assets, no matter the amount, are combined with
other member church assets so as to enjoy the efficiencies of one large
investment pool while continuing to receive individual account statements and
other record keeping benefits.
-
Any questions you may have about the Congregational Investment Trust may
be directed to members of the investment committee or the portfolio management
professionals—many who have been involved with the portfolio for years and
years.
Additional information about this unique investment opportunity
will be forthcoming in a February newsletter as well as in
presentations at the annual conference in Providence, Rhode
Island. Stay tuned!CSC DEVOTIONALS A POPULAR RESOURCE
Approximately, 4,400 copies of the 2003 Advent Devotionals,
published by the Church Services Commission, were sold to member churches!!
Unfortunately, due to a substantial increase in orders from the previous year,
we were not able to fill all requests for the booklets. We will remedy that
situation for the future. Please look for the 2004 Lent Devotionals – a sample
copy will be mailed to the churches during the month of January.
