The division for Congregational Church Development (CCD) wants to help your church grow! If your
church desires to grow, is growing and needs to build or is planning to start another church, CCD can provide assistance.
Churches wishing to grow may be interested in our revitalization resources.
Catching a New Vision workshops are offered by the Rev. Patti Dando
Haaheim. This weekend workshop is for every church in all situations as it
is tailored to the needs and requests of the local church. For a church that feels it is in trouble, the workshop can
help with a new start. For a church that wants to make major changes,
Catching a New Vision can help with clarity and discernment. A church that is active and thriving can benefit from
Rev. Haaheim's insights which can help bring more people on board. More information on
this resource is available at
http://www.naccc.org/CCD/workshop/vision.htm
or from the NA office. Additional resource information may be found at
http://www.naccc.org/Resources.html
Churches that are already growing and building facilities to accommodate their members
may also find assistance from CCD. The Twenty First Century Pilgrim Club
publishes national fund raising appeals for our member churches. Applicant churches may be granted one of
the three appeals made annually. The appeal process does take time, so churches need to
plan ahead. In addition, building funds are available from Building and Loan at very reasonable rates. More
information on the Twenty First Century Pilgrim Club
may be found at:
http://www.naccc.org/Congregational_Church_Development.html
or from the NA office.
Finally, CCD assists with new church starts. Congregational churches begin in many ways and follow
several models of development. CCD grants funding to assist local groups, planting clergy or regional associations in
their church start efforts. We also provide training for core individuals and outside resources for the fledgling
congregation. Funding is given annually, for a one year period up to three years. The amount of funding varies greatly,
and to a great extent is determined by available funds and the number of applicants. Additional information may
be found at:
http://www.naccc.org/Congregational_Church_Development.html
or from the NA office.
CCD meets three times a year: June, October and February. Applicants wishing to be considered at the
next meeting must have all application materials in the NA office at least forty-five days in advance.
NACCC VACANCY LISTING
The "Pastorates and
Pulpits" vacancy listing has been updated
and mailed out to those that subscribe to it. In an attempt to make the
information more current and more easily accessible, the NACCC
Office has placed this listing on our website (www.naccc.org). Rather than
updating the vacancy listing only once a month, it is our plan to publish
the listing weekly.
To access "Pastorates and
Pulpits," go to our web site, and click on "Ministry" (Left side of page),
then "Ministerial Opportunities." You will notice on the page that pops
up that "Pastorates and Pulpits" is shown in blue which is linked to
the listing. |
