FINANCIAL COUNSELING

by Financial Services Committee

Did you know your NA is prepared to help your church with any financial problem or questions? Our Financial Service Advisors have a great deal of experience. They know how other churches have solved problems and can help you (confidentially) look for good solutions. Sometimes local church people are "too close to the problem" or have never encountered it before. It helps to be able to talk to someone with a broad perspective.

In the past year or two, for example, our people have worked with member churches on the following subjects: minister's salary packages and employee benefits, better accounting methods, better insurance coverage (two excellent national companies give special packages and rates to our churches), budget problems, special fund-raising projects, construction financing and problems, stewardship programs, local planned giving programs.

(Example: At this moment, we are organizing and implementing large fund-raising projects for two local churches and an NA missionary school).

It's free and an NA service! Why don't you call one of our Financial Service Advisors in your area?

SHARE THANKSGIVING RECIPES
Plimoth Plantation wants your favorite family Thanksgiving recipe for a cookbook/history of the holiday to be published by Random House in the fall of 2005. The cookbook will focus on the history of the thanksgiving meal from 1621 to today. The last chapter will feature the ways individual families celebrate the holiday. Plimoth Plantation would love to hear from you if you have an ethnic or regional recipe addition that your family makes to the "traditional Thanksgiving menu".

You can contact the museum's food historian (and book author) Kathleen Curtin at (508)746-1622 extension 8281 or at kcurtin@plimoth.org if you have recipe that would fit the bill. If your recipe is used by the museum in the book you will receive a free hardcover copy!
