Second, Beloit is sponsoring a class entitled, “Taking Care of You: Powerful Tools of Caregiving,” designed for care-givers of elderly or people impacted by serious illnesses; Cong’l Church of Soquel is launching a 4th Sunday event – informal, intergenerational, worship, not as an alternative, but as a meaningful addition to the familiar in unfamiliar ways…Souhegan Cong’l is planning for their future, touring a 10-acre plot that they own and looking toward a new and expanded facility for their growing congregation!...From Mt Hope Cong’l: An excellent list of “Things I’ve learned thus far in my life,” you should send for it…Ozaukee Cong’l is using a rotation program for Christian Ed, and planning this Fall’s Joyous Journey segments. They are asking for three-week commitments for some of their educational segments. If you are still trying to find teachers for nine months, take notice of this successful program…Preston City Cong’l has sent out a community-wide child care needs assessment, in anticipation of a child care program at their Church. If you are thinking of such a ministry, get in touch with them. It’s a great survey!...FCC, Braintree is planning to replace the original tower which had to be dismantled in 1996 due to safety and damage issues. Several options are being examined…At FCC, Wayne, Rob Joy has written another excellent piece in their recent newsletter, this time on spirituality. You might want to ask him to send it to you… Faith Comm., Franklin, the pastor emails a thought for the day to her congregation. Great idea!...FCC, St. John’s has a neat idea! They dedicate their monthly newsletter to couples, families and individuals in the Church – anniversaries, births, etc….FCC, Clear Lake’s newsletter has a column entitled “Getting to Know U” which features a different member each month…Plymouth, Minneapolis is featuring the nationally-recognized poet Robert Bly in the Church’s theater in October. As part of their Pathways program Maryann Yusefzadeh presented, A Spiritual Journey into Healing Sounds…FCC, Spencer inserts “ads” in their newsletter, which detail events, programs and groups meeting in their Church. Great idea!
