LOOKING AHEAD TO LANSING, MICHIGAN - 2001

Transforming in Christ … Uniting in Faith
Romans 12:5

This will be our Annual Meeting, but will you recognize it? Expect new formats, new ideas, and new opportunities to participate as we face the issues facing us. Here is what you will find..

  • Two BIG Seminars on Revitalization
    Revitalizing your Church
    Revitalizing your Sunday School
If your church is in the midst of change, come to hear two experts prepare you to ride the wave … maybe even lead the pack.

  • Worship driven presentations of Division and Commission programs

  • Resource Room--How to, hands on .. conversations and demonstrations covering a wide variety of subjects important to your church

  • Open Leadership Forum--An opportunity to interact not only with the Executive Committee but also with the chairs of divisions, commissions, and committees. Here you can participate in discussions that shape our Association's response to its churches' needs.

  • Congregational Lecture — James Fennimore Cooper, Jr.

  • Bible Lectures — Don Juel, Ph.D. of Princeton

  • Holy Fun--Every evening Christian life shared through the performing arts

  • A new Celebration of Service to honor exceptional Congregational work

  • Special banquet speaker … someone you'll know and enjoy getting to know better

Next year's Annual Meeting will be somewhat different than prior meetings. The Church Services Commission hopes to put together a "hands on" resource room that will give churches and church members suggestions, sample materials, and maybe even time to work on computers or talk one-on-one with software experts. Since this has never been done before, our biggest problem is deciding WHAT DO THE CHURCHES WANT HELP WITH?

We would appreciate suggestions, comments, questions - in short, anything that will help us identify what kinds of information you need and want. Suggestions are appreciated and can be mailed to the NA office to the attention of Ruth Mahnke or emailed to me at: dwilliams@heritagemadison.org. It is our hope that you will also be able to communicate with us directly through the NACCC web page when it is complete. Additional information regarding the resource room will be available in future issues of the NACCC News.
