SHARED RESOURCES FOR SHARED MINISTRIES
Fair Share Contributions Support Every Day Needs

Every year delegates attending the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches (NACCC) annual meeting vote to approve an operating budget based on member churches contributing approximately $10 per active member. Budgeting for this "fair share" contribution is certainly a sign of support for the association and the work of churches across the country. But what exactly does this contribution support? How does this commitment further the work of Congregational Christian Churches and why are these funds necessary?

The general fund does more than support the association office. It is the fund that supports shared ministries by

· Promoting youth assemblies and programs;

· Recruiting and placing ministers;

· Developing ideas, methods and materials for women's groups;

· Publishing The Congregationalist;

· Providing Sunday school curriculum and materials;

· Feeding the hungry;

· Establishing new churches overseas; and…

· much, much more!

What amazing work is being accomplished through those among us who honor their Fair Share commitments! Let us not loose sight of the tremendous impact each church can have on God's kingdom by supporting the work of the association. Consider the encouragement found in Galatians 6:9, and let us "…not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary." Please include the Fair Share contribution in your church budget and join with others who reap the good rewards of ministry.
