YOUTH MINISTRY NEWS

Youth Leaders Retreat sponsored by The Commission on Youth Ministry will be March 3-5, 2006, at Wonderland Conference Center in Camp Lake, Wisconsin. The conference center is easily reached from either Chicago or Milwaukee airports. Joanne Simpson and Lynn Merkel, long time youth leaders, will facilitate the retreat.

The Youth Leaders Retreat is an excellent opportunity for youth leaders to come together, share experiences and learn new approaches, programs and ideas, as well as to clarify and rejuvenate the leader’s sense of call to youth ministry. Our youth are our future and as Congregational Churches, we have always invested in them. The regional Associations are being approached about offering scholarships and it is hoped that local churches will invest in their youth leaders by helping to defray some of the costs.

More information is available by going to the NA web site: www.naccc.org, click on Youth, Youth Programs and then Youth Leaders Retreat in body of text. Registration forms are available at the web site and are also being mailed to all the churches.

It is hoped that this year will see a record attendance at the Youth Leaders Retreat that local churches might be blessed by gaining understanding and working to fulfill the Lord’s dream for our youth programming.
