FCC, Royal Oak is offering a seminar with author Chick Moorman who will present material from his book, “Grace-Full Parenting”...Founders, Harwinton - You’ve heard of a group of people creating a quilt; at Harwinton, the supreme effort of one person, Bobby Valenti, created a Bible quilt to be raffled at their Fair…Eighteen youth and four adults took a mission trip from Mt. Hope, Livonia, to Manistee, MI to help that community with critical needs….Brokenstraw Parish, Spring Creek, sent one of their first newsletters as a single parish (they used to be yoked with another). Lots of news and excitement about their new adventure…FCC, Kenosha, is studying both of Rick Warren’s books, Purpose Driven Life and Purpose Driven Church…Central, Galesburg has a Fair Share offering during the month of September, asking for $10 from each member to help support the NA…FCC, Mansfield, conducted an excellent survey of congregation by mail, in person, by email, to assess the qualities they feel are important calling a new associate minister…FCC, Hutchinson, has chosen the theme for the year “Remembering The Past and Building Toward The Future.” Berwick Cong’l – After a long process of rehabbing, the congregation is moving educational ministries into the yellow building next to the Church. How exciting!..FCC,Braintree – an excellent article by Pastor Dick Hotchkin on envisioning a youth ministry. Ask him for it…FCC Allegan – Wow! They have a whole list of members who sponsored their newsletters for 2005. Great idea!..Dr. Jim Balija, FCC, Maywood, wrote a beautiful prayer for Labor Day. Ask him for it…Little Washington, Mansfield – Rev. David Root, their new pastor, has given the newsletter a new look. They are studying Joel Osteen’s book, Your Best Life Now…FCC, Anaheim – did you know that several congregations meet and worship at FCC, each offering worship in their native tongue? What a great ministry is going on there… FCC, Adams – looking for the advent of their after-school program for kindergartners…Lake Country, Hartland, is one of the many Churches which printed their delegate’s report from the Annual Meeting in KC. Thank you. It is good for the NA and for your Church…The Edison Congregational Church of Fort Myers, FL, is launching a campaign to attract visiting “snowbirds” and persons relocating to Southwest Florida. Actions include ads in The Congregationalist magazine promoting the website: www.edisonchurch.org, and personal letters to NACCC churches throughout the Midwest and New England states, requesting an informational insert in their local Sunday bulletins. These efforts are geared to attract attendees December – April.
