MAINE SEA COAST MISSION
BAR HARBOR, MAINE
The Maine Sea Coast Missionary Society, located in Bar Harbor, provides pastoral care and outreach ministries to persons living in the rugged coastal and island villages of Maine.  A ship named the Sunbeam pays regular visits to the island communities of Monhegan, Matinicus, Isle au Haut, Frenchboro, and the Great Cranberry Isles.

The Mission’s Christmas Program touches more than 3,000 children, nursing home residents, shut-ins, and students of Headstart Programs.  Caps, mittens, scarves, and socks arrive throughout the year from knitters across the country.   The program provides a wrapped gift, a tide calendar, and occasionally a financial donation to those supported by the Mission.

Financial donations should be forwarded through the Missionary Society – designated to the Maine Sea Coast Mission - Christmas.  Knitted items may be sent to the mission at:

and an article of clothing to a child in need.  The cost is approximately $12 per child. Parents may choose the toys and clothing items from one of four locations – and often stand in long lines as they wait to receive gifts for their children.

Financial support of this project would be greatly appreciated and may be sent through The Missionary Society designated for the Morgan Scott Christmas Program.

OLADELES REQUEST ASSISTANCE
Rev. Solomon Oladele, director of the Christ to the Villages Mission, has notified The Missionary Society that Christian educators are needed for the Omega High School located in Shao, Nigeria.  Teachers are needed in the following subject areas:
·
        Physics
·
        Chemistry
·
        Religion (Christian)
·
        Mathematics
·
        English Language
Please contact either Rev. Dr. Donald Olsen or Ruth Mahnke at the NACCC for further information.

The Nigerian government has introduced new higher minimum wages that affect private schools.  This has placed a financial burden on all of the schools supported by the mission:  The Alpha Nursery and Primary Schools as well as the Omega High School.

A MESSAGE FOR BENEVOLENCE BOARDS &  MISSION BOARD CHAIRPERSONS:
Many NACCC Churches and individuals have received solicitations from a group identifying themselves as CMFE-USA.  These mailings have caused some confusion and appear to be an attempt to blur the lines of distinction between the Christian Mission of the Far East (CMFE) and Christian Mission of the Far East, USA (CMFE - USA).
CMFE is an official mission of the Missionary Society.  CMFE -USA is not endorsed by or associated with the Missionary Society, nor is it associated with CMFE.  It is not the US branch of CMFE.

“So it is with faith: if it is alone and includes no actions, then it is dead” . . . .  James 2:14-17
