I would like to take this opportunity to introduce a new program
we are proud to be sponsoring; the NACCC Long Term Care Program.
It is the mission of the NACCC to provide member congregations
with services and resources that can help them in their ministries.
Long term care has become a serious issue for so many of our
parishioners, not only spiritually, but emotionally and financially
as well. We all have various stories of thanksgiving or regret
that we did / did not provide our loved ones with adequate
care when they needed it the most.
Education is the key component on the road to understanding
and addressing the various issues surrounding long term care.
To that end, we have partnered with our friends at Northwestern
Mutual. Through their network of long term care specialists
across the country, we are able to provide educational seminars
or one on one meetings, held locally at each church, for those
who would like to learn about the various care giving options
and how to protect your assets from long term care expenses.
In addition to education, we are able to pass on association
discounts, secured through Northwestern Mutual, for any church
member who purchases a long term care policy. The discounts
are also available to the parents and parent-in-laws of NACCC
church members, even though they might not belong to an NACCC
church. In this manner, we are able to reach out to our entire
church family.
Please click below to listen to an interview of Dottie Schimpf
and Steve Koppel. Dottie is a parish nurse at North Shore
Congregational Church and the wife of one of the National
Association's ministers. Steve is a long term care specialist
from Northwestern Mutual and key point person in the NACCC
Long Term Care Program. You will find their unique perspectives
quite informative.
