Barbra Brown Taylor is an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Atlanta.
Ordained in 1983, she served urban an rural parishes in Georgia for fifteen
years before assuming her current post as Harry R Butman Professor of
Religion and Philosophy at Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia. IN recent
years, she has lectured on preaching at Yale, Princeton and Duke
Universities, and has preached at churches across the country. Taylor is
author of seven books, including When God is Silent (Cowley
Publications, 1998) and God in Pain: Teaching Sermons on Suffering
(Abingdon Press, 1998) |
