N.A.P.F. Builds Leaders
Officer Candidates Wanted

To function in a leadership position for NAPF is a significant commitment that requires time, effort and a strong desire to do God’s will. Along with these responsibilities and requirements are numerous benefits and rewards. As a second-year officer I can confidently state that filling the role of an NAPF officer is one of the most fulfilling experiences anyone can ever been a part of.

I strongly encourage anyone who feels God is calling them to run for office to do so. However, if you have never been to an NAPF conference, I recommend that you attend at least one to get a feel for what it is all about before running for office. If you have completed your freshman, sophomore or junior year of high school you are eligible to run for office. The term is two years of your life where you have the opportunity to impact people’s lives in ways that you may never know.

This year you will be able to run for my position, President, or Ryan Hite’s position as Second Vice President. You will be working with Daniel Butters, First Vice President, and Whitney Reed, Secretary, and Rev Mengle as co-director. Additional information will be available in the registration packets, and feel free to email me with any questions at d2gorman@wmich.edu. God bless.

Blessing or Cursing

“As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.”                                                                                                 Psalm 109:17

Before reading this article it is important to understand the definition of cursing, any of the following usages of cursing apply to this article; 1.To invoke evil or misfortune upon; damn. 2. To swear at. 3. To bring evil upon; afflict.

Cursing is one of those things that we know we should not do, but tend to see as insignificant and harmless in comparison to what we could be doing. I rarely feel guilt when I swear at my roommate for waking me up to the sound of NASCAR and country music, or when I silently pray for a plague of locusts to destroy my professor for assigning a 10 page paper. But therein lies the danger. It seems innocuous enough on the surface, but as Psalms 109:17 explains; you get what you give. If you live a life where you wish for wrath upon others, you yourself shall receive what you have wished upon them. Remember, it is the little things that define who you truly are. Do you want to be defined by cursing? God bless (not God damn).
