Gather, Learn, and Connect
The NACCC offers a variety of opportunities throughout the year for Congregational Christians to gather, learn, worship, and connect with one another. From large annual gatherings to virtual learning opportunities and special events, our events bring together members, clergy, youth, and leaders from across the National Association.
NACCC members are welcome and encouraged to participate in these events, whether joining us online or gathering in person. Explore the calendar for upcoming events, and learn more about our annual gatherings below.
Annual Meeting and Conference
The Annual Meeting and Conference (AMC) is the NACCC’s largest annual gathering, bringing clergy and laity together for business, learning, worship, and fellowship.
Held each year in late June, the AMC is an important expression of Congregationalism. Member churches are encouraged to send at least one representative who can participate in the business of the Association and vote on behalf of their church. The conference also offers educational and skill-building opportunities, worship and prayer, shared meals, special events, and many opportunities to connect with other Congregational Christians.
The AMC is open to everyone, not just official delegates. Non-delegates are warmly welcomed to participate in educational sessions, worship, fellowship, and other activities throughout the conference.
Ministers’ Convocation
The Ministers’ Convocation is an annual gathering designed specifically for clergy, offering a time for continuing education, spiritual reflection, rest, and fellowship following the Easter season.
Convocation provides ministers with an opportunity to step away from the demands of ministry, invest in their own spiritual and professional renewal, and connect with colleagues from across the NACCC. Many NACCC churches support their pastors’ participation, recognizing that a renewed and refreshed pastor benefits the entire congregation.
NAPF & HOPE Youth Gathering
The National Association of Pilgrim Fellowship (NAPF) and Heritage of Pilgrim Endeavor (HOPE) provide opportunities for young people in NACCC churches to gather with their peers for fellowship, spiritual growth, inspiration, and mission.
NAPF is designed for high school students, while HOPE serves college-age students. Churches do not need to have an established youth group to participate. These gatherings offer young people a place to share their faith, build lasting friendships, and experience the wider Congregational Christian community.
Boston Seminar
The Boston Seminar in Congregational History and Polity is an opportunity for students of the Lay Ministry Training Program, Congregational Foundation for Theological Studies fellows, and ministers who are new to the NACCC to deepen their understanding of the Congregational Way. This small-group program is an opportunity for participants to get to know other Congregationalist, learn about our traditions, and immerse themselves in Congregational history.
Event Calendar
The NACCC hosts and participates in many events throughout the year beyond our major annual gatherings. Our Events Calendar highlights upcoming opportunities to gather both virtually and in person.
Check the calendar regularly for new events, programs, workshops, retreats, and other opportunities to connect with the NACCC community.
