Nurturing the Spirit of Ministry

Each year, the NACCC hosts the Ministers’ Convocation, a gathering designed specifically for clergy to rest, reflect, learn, and reconnect following the Easter season. Convocation offers pastors an opportunity to step away from the demands of ministry, invest in their own spiritual and professional well-being, and enjoy fellowship with colleagues from across the NACCC.

A Time for Renewal

Ministers’ Convocation is centered around three important opportunities:
  • Continuing Education: Engage in lectures, discussions, and other programming designed to encourage learning and growth in ministry.
  • Spiritual Renewal: Set aside time for prayer, reflection, worship, and rest following the intensity of the Easter season.
  • Fellowship: Connect with other NACCC ministers, share experiences, and build relationships with colleagues in Congregational Christian ministry.
Many NACCC churches recognize the value of this time of renewal and set aside funds to support their pastor’s attendance. The opportunity for rest and spiritual renewal can benefit not only individual ministers, but the congregations they serve.

Planning for Convocation

Ministers’ Convocation is typically held in the weeks following Easter. Registration generally includes accommodations, meals, and all scheduled programming, making it possible for attendees to focus fully on the experience without having to arrange those details separately.
Details about the upcoming Ministers’ Convocation – including dates, location, registration, programming, and travel information – will be shared through our Event Calendar as they become available.
