Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising

The Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising (ECRF) is an eight-week online course and practical application project through the Lake Institute on Faith & Giving, part of the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

The course provides the research, tools, and customized training to meet the growing needs of leaders in religious communities and fundraisers of faith-based organizations. The focus of the ECRF is on the cultural, organizational, and philanthropic practices unique to religious institutions. These practices in turn enable donors motivated by spiritual and religious values to experience the joy of generous giving.

The ECRF is made up of the following four key topics, selected readings, and a final project.

• Nurturing Generous Congregations & Organizations
• Nurturing Generous Donors
• The Practice of Religious Fundraising
• Integrating Religious Leadership & Fundraising

Individuals from NACCC member churches are invited to enroll at a highly discounted rate of $350.00 per student.  (Regular enrollment cost is $ 1,350.00)

Timeline

September 6, 2023 – Pathwright, the course site, opens. This will give everyone a week to get into the system, introduce themselves, and read through some content before the first plenary on September 13, 2023.

September 13, 2023 – November 1, 2023 – Plenary will run for 8 weeks on Wednesday afternoons from 1-2:30 pm Central.

September 14, 2023 – October 26, 2023 –  Peer groups will run for 7 weeks and will may be scheduled at 10am, 1pm, and 3pm Central.
