At the heart of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches is a simple yet powerful calling: to nurture fellowship among Congregational Christian Churches and to support ministries of the local church in its community and to the world, all in the name of Christ.

Those words are more than a statement on paper. They guide the daily work of our councils, staff, mission partners, and churches. Among those faithfully carrying out this calling is the Mission and Outreach Ministry Council (MOMC).

Because much of MOMC’s work happens behind the scenes in oversight, discernment, coordination, communication, and relationship-building, it is not always visible to the broader NACCC community. Yet its impact is woven through our common life together: in the distribution of mission funds, in partnerships that extend our reach across the globe, in resources that equip local churches, and in opportunities that connect individuals directly to hands-on service.

In keeping with the Leadership Council’s objectives of professionalism, visibility, collaboration, and diversity, MOMC has drafted the following impact statement. It is offered in a spirit of transparency and gratitude – transparency about the scope of work entrusted to the council, and gratitude for the churches and individuals whose generosity makes this ministry possible.

We invite you to read this statement not simply as a list of tasks, but as a window into how your association works together to strengthen local churches and extend Christ’s love into the world.
