Severe wildfires are impacting parts of Nebraska due to dry conditions and high winds. Hundreds of thousands of acres have burned, homes and communities have been threatened and destroyed, and many residents have been forced to evacuate. The impact these fires have had on human lives and the agricultural community is staggering. It will take years to rebuild and regrow the crops and structures needed to support livestock again. Emergency crews continue to work to contain the fires, and the NACCC is actively monitoring the needs of those impacted.
As a result of this need, the Mission and Outreach Ministry Council is gratefully receiving One Great Hour of Sharing donations designated to 2026 Nebraska Wildfire Relief. These funds will be distributed to vetted individuals, organizations, and NACCC mission partners providing aid, as well as NACCC churches that have been impacted.

The NACCC makes every effort to honor donor wishes in regard to their gifts. Occasionally, a situation will arise where a project is no longer viable. In such cases, the NACCC will direct those donated funds to one of our other funds that is most similar to the donor’s original intentions.
